Full Lease Placement fee is due only after tenant placement. Tenant-agent compensation, screening charges, photography, lockbox and third-party fees are disclosed separately. California and local rules affect screening, application fees, deposits and required disclosures.
🛡 Identity verification is required
Before your rental goes live on the MLS, you (the property owner) must complete identity verification — a government photo ID, an ownership match against the deed/tax record, and (if you're remote) a short video ID call. This protects against listing fraud and is required under California DRE and MLS rules. Your listing cannot be published until this is complete.
📨 You handle tenant correspondence
On the self-service rental plans (Essential and Guided) you communicate with prospects directly. The moment a prospective tenant or their agent contacts your listing, we email you their details — name and contact information — so you can respond, arrange showings, and run your own screening. Both Ways places your listing and forwards every lead; you manage the conversations. (Full Lease Placement is different — there, our broker qualifies and coordinates leads for you.)
