Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
This policy explains how RNN Realty P.C. dba Both Ways Realty (California DRE #02322110) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information through bothwaysrealty.com and our listing services.
1. Information we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account information | Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash) |
| Property information | Address, APN, price or rent, bedrooms and baths, square footage, features, remarks, showing instructions, photographs |
| Verification documents | Government-issued photo ID, deed or proof of ownership, property-tax or utility bill, entity/trust/power-of-attorney documents |
| Transaction information | Plan purchased, amount, date, payment status, Square payment and order identifiers |
| Enquiries | Information you submit through our contact form |
| Technical information | Session cookie required to keep you signed in; server logs including IP address and timestamps |
We do not collect or store your card number. Card details are entered into a payment form hosted by Square, tokenized in your browser, and charged by Square. We receive only a payment result and identifiers.
2. Why we use it
- To create and operate your account and provide the services you purchase.
- To prepare, publish and maintain your listing in the MLS and permitted syndication channels.
- To verify property ownership and the identity of the person listing it — required to prevent listing and deed fraud, and consistent with California Department of Real Estate guidance and MLS requirements.
- To process payments and issue receipts.
- To communicate with you about your listing, documents, agreements and orders.
- To keep records our broker is required to retain, and to comply with law.
3. When we share it
- The MLS and its participants. Listing content you submit — including property details, remarks and photographs — is published to the applicable MLS and, where permitted, syndicated to third-party portals. Once published, listing data is distributed widely and we cannot recall copies held by others. Your verification documents are never published to the MLS or any portal.
- Square, our payment processor, for card processing and receipts.
- Email delivery providers used to send notifications and confirmations.
- Professionals involved in your transaction where relevant — escrow, title, cooperating brokers — and only as needed.
- Legal and regulatory disclosure where required by law, subpoena, the DRE, or an MLS or association investigation.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Verification documents and listing photographs are stored on a private server volume that is not web-accessible and is served only to authenticated, authorized users. Passwords are hashed. Access to verification documents is limited to broker personnel who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. How long we keep it
We retain transaction and identity-verification records for the period required by California real estate recordkeeping rules — generally three years — and longer where a longer period is required by law or where records are relevant to a dispute, claim or investigation. Account information is kept while your account is active.
6. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected, used and disclosed;
- Request a copy of that information;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion, subject to our legal and recordkeeping obligations;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, use our contact form or call 424 234 9493. We will verify your identity before acting on a request. Note that we cannot delete records we are legally required to retain, and we cannot remove listing data already distributed by the MLS to third parties.
7. Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
